Vacant and Distressed Property
Coverage review begins with the building as it stands today.
Explore property coverage →Protect the assignment. Preserve the recovery. Insurance review and placement for receivers, trustees, restructuring professionals and the businesses and property entrusted to them.
Just appointed? Start with the assignment and the next deadline.
A receiver inherits a business, an insurance program and the assumptions behind it. Those assumptions deserve a fresh look.
The incumbent team may remain valuable. But changed relationships, reduced operations and an uncertain renewal can leave servicing, remarketing and follow-through without a clear owner. Fiduciary Bridge is built to support the professionals responsible for the next chapter.
We organize the review around your duties, deadlines and exit plan. An assignment expected to end before the next renewal still deserves attentive service.
We examine the fit across property, operations, people and fiduciary responsibilities. Gaps, obsolete assumptions and unnecessary overlap all belong in the review.
We weigh premiums, retentions, financing and exit costs against the protection purchased. The goal is to preserve value available for creditors, victims and other entitled stakeholders.
Bring the policies you inherited, the authority or workout mandate, the operating plan and the next deadline. We agree on the scope, timing and any fee before the review begins.
The review organizes the insurance record into three practical outputs:
We work with receivers, trustees, assignees, lenders and the professionals managing court-supervised and out-of-court workouts.
An appointment, sale, closure or change in operations may alter the risks and reporting requirements.
Coverage review begins with the building as it stands today.
Explore property coverage →The operating plan determines the insurance questions.
Explore operating business coverage →Your professional role and the business’s management risks need separate attention.
Explore liability coverage →One event can cross several insuring agreements.
Explore cyber, crime and fidelity →The bond obligation and its cash requirement come first.
Explore court and fiduciary bonds →Plan assets and plan duties require their own review.
Explore benefit plan risk →The coverage decision belongs before the sale or closure.
Explore tail coverage →Insurance commitments affect the case’s available cash.
Explore policy and program review →When a credit moves into workout, the insurance assumptions need another look. We help lenders and appointed professionals assess current protection, cash requirements and available alternatives to lender-placed coverage.
Review the actual collateral, operating plan and policy terms before committing scarce cash.

James M. Gee, CPA, CIRA, CFE, brings the financial discipline of a CPA, the restructuring perspective of a CIRA, the investigative lens of a CFE and the practical capabilities of a multi-state licensed insurance producer to the same review.
His experience includes 23 years with the U.S. Trustee Program. Today, he connects fiduciary tax, forensic and restructuring work with insurance questions affecting distressed property and operating businesses.
What James brings to the review →Anonymized completed work. Coverage terms and results depend on the assignment.
Our work starts with what the assignment needs today. A recommendation may be to keep a useful policy, amend it, seek alternatives or arrange an orderly termination when the exposure and continuing obligations permit.
Service commitments are agreed around the assignment and its milestones. An assignment expected to end before the next renewal still deserves attentive service.
Compensation and relevant conflicts are disclosed and reviewed, including those involving our participating firms.
