Operating and Regulated Businesses

The operating plan determines the insurance questions.

We review which activities will continue, who performs them and which entities and people need protection.

The review can include property, general liability, business income, equipment breakdown, commercial auto, workers’ compensation, employers liability, umbrella and specialty exposures, as applicable. A businessowners policy is considered where the operation is eligible.

For regulated operations, counsel and licensing specialists address entity approval, operator requirements, credentials and supervision. An appointment order does not itself settle whether a required license or insurer approval is in place.
